Our children are an active part of our church. In fact, they might be the most active! Our ministry is specifically designed for kids, and serves to introduce children to Christ, and to establish a platform of faith-building, life-changing relationships.
Sunday School
Sunday School is the anchor of our church discipleship plan and is staffed by well trained volunteers. Children's classes (Grades 1-5) are offered at during our 9:00 a.m. sessions.
Children's Worship Service
During our 10:30 sessions children in Grades 1-5 are able to participate in a worship service designed with them in mind. Songs, videos, sermons, and even special prayer times are developed just for kids.
Missions Activities
At 6 p.m. on Sundays, (while the grownups are in “big church”) our RA’s and GA’s meet separately to discuss how the Gospel is being shared around the world. The GA’s meet in the children’s building and the RA’s are in the gym.
Fast Track
Our high-energy dsicipleship time designed specifically for children happens every Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m. Our teaching during this ministry is focused on learning about the virtues of God, and how we can be more like Him.
... And then there are the special events.
Every year, some highlights for our entire church are specifically focused on our children’s ministry. Vacation Bible School is the biggest outreach event of our entire church year. We have an annual Fall Festival (a great alternative to Halloween), trips to see the Atlanta Braves play, and Winshape C3 (the ultimate day camp).
Security
We live in a changing world, and this world can be a dangerous place for children. In an effort to provide the safest environment possible for our children to learn about God, we have several safeguards in place. Some of these including required background checks for all of our pastors and volunteers, a computer check in processes for all kids in our programs, and several other policies to make sure our campus is a safe place for kids.
